Carrie Lynn O’Connor

Carrie Lynn O’Connor, age 45, a Shelton resident most of her life peacefully entered into rest on Monday, April 5, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at Griffin Hospital in Derby. 

She was born in Derby on April 28, 1975 the daughter of Michael O’Connor and the late Donna (Horvath) O’Connor. Carrie was a graduate of Shelton High School, completed her undergraduate degree at Sacred Heart University before eventually earning her MBA from the University of New Haven. 

She worked as the Chief Purchase Analyst for Avangrid for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family holidays spent together, spending time with her cherished cat Ollie, and she absolutely adored her niece and nephew Brianna and Jacob. She was especially fond of taking them to the Beardsley Zoo and going to eat at Chili’s. Carrie will lovingly be remembered by her family and many cherished friends. 

Her laugh was contagious. Her beautiful smile and quick wit brightened all of our lives. 

She is survived by her sisters Sherri O’Connor (Sue Miles) and Michelle Potok (Brian), her niece and nephew Jacob and Brianna Potok, her uncle David Horvath, her aunt Carol Horvath (John Whitley, her cousin Christopher Whitley, her step mother Jennifer O’Connor and her step brother Anthony Meglio and his family. 

A walk-through visitation will take place on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering so everyone can be accommodated.
