Catherine J. Bilotto, age 99, of Shelton entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Griffin Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late James J. Bilotto for 68 years.
Catherine was born on April 8, 1914 in Barnesboro, PA daughter of the late Joseph and Marianna (Capra) Girage and was a Shelton resident for most of her life.
She worked for BF Goodrich for over 20 years and the Rose Flower Shop in Derby before her retirement. Catherine was a member of St. Joseph Church and also took great comfort in watching the daily Mass on television.
She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. Her Lemon Meringue Pies, Christmas Cookies and Easter Breads were enjoyed by all. She was kind, loving and generous to everyone and always enjoyed shopping and going to lunch.
Catherine was the beloved mother of MaryAnn Francolini and her husband, Harry, Carol Martin and her husband, Daniel, Anthony Bilotto and his wife, Pamela, loving grandmother of Lisa Francolini(Beverly Wells), Mark Francolini(Robert Thomas), Damien Bilotto, Darren Bilotto(Rick Baker), Vanessa Bilotto and Marisa Martin. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Girage and sisters, Lillian Li Puma, Mary Curtis and Josephine Faccento.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 4 – 7pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton, CT. On Saturday, her funeral will leave the funeral home at 10am for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church in Shelton at 10:30am. Entombment will follow in the Mt. St. Peter Mausoleum in Derby.
