Charles A. Fowler

Charles A. Fowler, age 72, of Seymour, entered into rest on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. 

He was born in Derby, on February 6, 1944, son of the late Herbert Fowler and Eunice (Mellon) Fowler-Eliason and was a Hamden resident for most of his life. 

Charles was the owner and operator of a State Canteen franchise in North Haven for many years. Later, he was employed by Fed-Ex until his retirement. Charles was an avid fan of the N.Y. Giants and UCONN sports. 

He is the beloved father of Debra Moran and her husband Albert and the late Robin Fowler and twin brother of John Fowler. Charles also leaves his former wife and friend Geri DeFelice. He is the loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Charles is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Saturday, friends are invited to his funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. His burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. 

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America Troop 3, 128 Elizabeth St., Derby CT 06418.
