Charles A. Vives

Charles A. Vives, peacefully entered into eternal rest on his 84th birthday, July 16, 2020, at Watrous Nursing Center in Madison, CT. He was predeceased by his wife, Sheila Fleming Vives, on May 9, 2020.

Mr. Vives was born at home in Ansonia on July 16, 1936, son of the late Vincent and Frances Tyminski Vives. He was employed in the Blade Department at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for twenty-five years, until his retirement. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a sister, Catherine Bootsie” Pisacane, a niece, Sally Sokol, great-nieces, Brittany Sokol and Sarah Sokol all of Toronto, Canada. He was predeceased by a brother, John Vives, a sister, Lois Ballester and his nephew, Mark Sokol.

Per Charlie’s request, his funeral service will be private with inurnment in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
