Charles Dymitruk

Charles F. Dymitruk, 96, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Monday morning, August 6, 2012, at Peregrine’s Landing at the Shoreline in Clinton.

Mr. Dymitruk was born in Ansonia on October 9, 1915, son of the late Frank and Amelia Dymitruk. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, he was employed as a materials handler at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford until his retirement in 1995. Charles went on numerous trips to Poland to visit and aid family. He also frequently traveled to Florida and California, enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casino’s, and was an avid fan of UConn women’s basketball.

He is survived by loving and devoted nephews, Victor Sierkowski and his wife Barbara of McKinney, Texas and Edward Dymitruk and his wife Joanne of Clinton and four grand nieces. He was predeceased by brothers, Edward J. Dymitruk and Stanley Scotty” Dymitruk and sisters, Harriet Sierkowski and Mary Mae” Dymitruk.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday August 10, 2012, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting will take place on FRIDAY MORNING from 8:30 am until the procession leaves for church at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
