Charles F. “Red” Woodin, 96, of Seymour entered into eternal rest on Monday Jan. 23, in The Shady Knoll Health Care after a brief illness.
He was born in Derby son of the late Charles J. and Charlotte (Mueller) Woodin a communicant of the Church of the Assumption Gradate of the Ansonia High School, a Veteran of the U. S. Army and retired electrician from the American Brass Co.
Red always wore his Yankee cap, he had a love for nature and caring for his son’s dog. If you don’t see him during the day go to the local grocery store late night and you will find “Red” more talking than shopping.
Survivors are son Charles C. Woodin and his wife Jacqueline of Beacon Falls grandsons Joshua and Jason Woodin of Naugatuck. He was predeceased by 2 sisters Elizabeth Baldwin and Mary Jo Wanciak.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend his mass of Christian Burial on Saturday Jan.28, at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of the Assumption 23 No. Cliff St. Ansonia. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery. Bennett Funeral Home 91 No. Cliff St. Ansonia is in charge of the arrangements.
