Charles Guy DiCapua, Jr. age 61, of Daytona Beach, FL, and formerly of Shelton, CT entered into rest on March 7, 2013 peacefully in his home.
Charles was born November 16, 1951 son of the late Eleanor and Charles Guy DiCapua, Sr. He grew up in Shelton and graduated from Shelton High School and Southern Connecticut State University. Charles was an accomplished musician who enjoyed boating, and was an avid student of history, especially the Civil War era.
Charles retired from the petroleum industry from which he was employed for many years.
He is the father of Dr. Daniel DiCapua, and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford, and Michael DiCapua, of Shelton. He is the grandfather of Abigail, Samuel, and Jacob.
He is the brother of Judith Gura, and her husband Howard, a nephew Scott Gura, and his wife Rori, a niece Holly Gura Betz and her husband Justin, and also leaves his loving grandnieces Kaylee, Mia, Jenna, and Lacey Gura.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday April 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church 178 Leavenworth Road Shelton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at the First Baptist Church at the above address.
