Charles H. Cone Jr., 72, of Seymour, beloved husband of Jo-Ann Falci Cone, unexpectedly entered into peaceful rest on Thursday August 11, 2011, in the comfort of his home.
Mr. Cone was born in Bridgeport on Oct. 4, 1938, son of the late Charles H., Sr. and Frances Sulinsky Cone. A resident of Seymour since 1966, he was employed at Raybestos in Stratford, the former Raymond Baking Co. in Waterbury, Connecticut Limo, and as a coach driver at Land Jet Bus Lines until his retirement. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he honorably served during the Vietnam Era. Charlie was a member of Teamsters Union Local 677 of Waterbury and an avid NY Yankee Fan.
In addition to his wife Jo-Ann, he is survived by two loving sons, Brian Cone and his wife Lisa of Enfield and David Cone Sr. and his wife Joanna of Oxford, a brother, John Cone of FL, two sisters, Carol Rutcha and Patricia Vinci of FL, four cherished grandchildren, Michael Cone, Samantha Cone, Victoria Cone, and David Cone Jr., all of Oxford, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday August 15, 2011, at 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Entombment with U.S. Navy military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Mausoleum in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on MONDAY MORNING from 9:00 am until the service begins.
