Charles L. Dawid, 79, entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2016, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances Reylea Dawid.
Mr. Dawid was born in Bridgeport on Feb. 8, 1937. He was employed as a pump technician at Greco & Haines in Derby for thirty years until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, arts & crafts and playing bingo.
Mr. Dawid is survived by a son, Nicholas Dawid (Basilla) of Ansonia, a daughter, Lori Smith (Ken) of Higganum, grandchildren, Christopher and Eric Padilla and Angela Dawid, great grandchildren, Aiden, Alysia and Jaclyn Padilla and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tina Dawid.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 10, 2016, from 4 – 7 pm at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver St. in Ansonia. On Friday, his funeral will take place at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour.
