Christine “Chrisi” Renee Eleazer (Abbott) 50 of Naugatuck passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday February 17, 2022 after a long battle.
She was the daughter of the late David Abbott Sr (Kathy) and June (Bennett) Hibbard (David) and grew up in Seymour and Shelton, CT.
Chrisi is survived by her devoted husband Donald Joseph Gorman Jr, her son and pride and joy, Robert Eleazer III of Naugatuck as well as Kimberly McCarthy of San Antonio, TX, Mathew Gorman (Sara) of Wallingford, CT and grandson Clark Matthew Gorman. She also leaves behind her brother David W Abbott Jr (Jennifer) of Spring Hill, FL and her very best friend for the last 40+years, Ellen (Tom) Kasek, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Chrisi’s family was the most important thing to her and she loved spending time with each and every one of them. She also enjoyed traveling, bingo, Christmas, shopping and giving to everyone around her.
Chrisi was full of life and her smile would light up any room. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all whom had the pleasure of getting to know her. The world lost an amazing woman and now we have an angel watching over us. Service will be held Saturday February 26, 2022 from 1pm to 4 pm at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home. 1300 Dixwell Ave. Burial will be private.
