Christine Catherine (Monko) Washicosky, age 97, died January 27, 2015, devoted wife of the late Stanley J. Washicosky, who passed away in 1976.
At the time of her death, she resided at Hewitt Health & Rehab, Shelton.
Christine was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, July 16, 1917, daughter of the late Jan Andrew Monko and Marie Rose Repiscak.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Washicosky and his wife Barbara of Oxford, and Francis Washicosky and his wife Lynn of Clayville, NY; her two daughters, Ann Marie Gimenez and her husband Peter of Lady Lake, FL, and Jane Hyman and her husband John of Milton, FL; her seven grandchildren, David Washicosky, Jessalyn Nolan, Andrew Iannone, Christopher Hyman, Robert Hyman, Lindsey Hyman, and Kristen Washicosky; her four great grandchildren, Autumn Hyman, Taylor Hyman, Benjamin Washicosky, and Kaylee Hyman; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie, Anna, and Mary; her brothers, Paul, John, Andrew, Joseph, Francis, Jacob, Albert, Stanley, and Walter.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30th at 1:30 PM in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery Chapel, Derby followed by burial.
