Clifford Wells Jr., 69, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into rest on June 18, 2011, with his family by his side, following a long illness. He was the husband of Charlotte Valentino Wells.
Mr. Wells was born in Derby on Feb. 4, 1942, son of the late Clifford and Agnes Leahy Wells. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, he was a graduate of Ansonia High School and the University of New Haven. Prior to his retirement, Cliff was employed as a shipping clerk at the former H.C. Cook Co. in Ansonia. He was an avid fan of mystery and detective novels and a loyal supporter of Ansonia High School Football and a former member of Charter Hose Co. in Ansonia. He will be missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Agnes Wells of Westborough, MA and Lavonne Boulanger of Voluntown, and a step-son, Richard Becker of Milford.
Per Mr. Wells’ request, all funeral services will be private. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver St. in Ansonia, has been privileged with his arrangements.
