Colleen Garofalo, age 76, of Seymour entered into rest on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was the devoted wife of 55 years to Dennis Garofalo. Colleen was born in Derby on December 9, 1947 daughter of the late Clarence and Grace (D’Luhy) Burke and was a Seymour resident for most of her life.
She worked as a secretary for Seymour Pink for 9 years. Colleen enjoyed trips to the casino and going out to dinner with friends. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.
She was the beloved mother of three daughters Jaime DeAngelis and her husband Peter, Kelley Garofalo and her husband John DePalmer and Tracey Garofalo and her wife Angie Churchill and loving grandmother of Ava and Jordan DeAngelis. She was predeceased by her sister Grace Munson.
Friends may call on Thursday October 17, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday October 18, 2024 at 10:15 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 425 Coram Ave. Shelton.
