Concetta Criscuolo

Concetta Criscuolo, 82, of Seymour, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on February 20, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Criscuolo. 

Mrs. Criscuolo was born in Ansonia on December 8, 1928, daughter of the late Paolo and Rose Vinci Santilli. A resident of Seymour for most of her life, she was a dedicated and loyal employee of the Town of Seymour, having served as the Registrar of Voters for 41 years, until her retirement in January of 2002. She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Seymour, being a member of it’s Ladies Guild and League of the Sacred Heart. Connie was a member of the Seymour Democratic Town Committee, Seymour Senior Center, and enjoyed cooking, Uconn Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Rochelle and her husband Allen of Seymour and Paula Hummel, two sisters, Dolores Dean and her husband Jack of Oxford and Rosalie Averill and her husband Richard of Seymour, seven cherished grandchildren, Heather and Erik Hummel, William Richmond, Gina Rochelle Calabro and her husband Brian, Kara and Jared Rochelle, and Wynonna Anglace, 4 great-grandchildren, Jordan Harrell, Dominic Richmond, Aubrey and Olivia Calabro, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at 9:00 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Augustine’s Church in Seymour. Springtime interment will take place in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 7 pm.
