Constance Ann (Rafalowski) Smith, age 75, entered into eternal rest on January 13, 2019, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Edward W. Smith.
Connie was born in Derby on September 22, 1943, daughter of the late Benjamin and Ann Benard Rafalowski. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1961 and resided in Ansonia since 1971. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and “MaMa Connie” to her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Ed, she leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Brian Nicolari (Karen Bisset) of Derby and Scott E. Smith (Monica) of Prospect, a daughter, Dawn M. Hebert of Bethany, a sister, Patricia Preston of Seymour, grandchildren, Michelle Nicolari of NC, Matthew and Marissa Nicolari of Derby, Richard and Rochelle Hebert of Ansonia, Ethan and Megan Smith and Sophie and Matthew Scarlato all of Prospect, great-grandchildren, Saion and Seras Brown and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday January 16, 2019, at 11:00 am (Please Meet Directly) at St. Jude Church, 71 Pleasant View Road in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Per Connie’s wishes, there will be no public visiting hours.
The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to St. Jude Church.
