Constantino Testone

Constantino Testone, 84, beloved husband of Mary Annechiarico Testone, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday August 4, 2009 at the West Haven V.A. following a long illness.

Mr. Testone was born in Derby on May 30, 1925 son of the late Emanuel and Santa Lanzi Testone. A resident of Derby for most of his life, he was employed as a tool & die maker at Auto Swage in Shelton for over forty years. 

He had honorably and proudly served during WW II in the U.S. Army. During his duty, he was captured on the beach in Anzio, Italy and detained by the Germans as a prisoner of war. 

Connie was politically active in Derby formerly having served on the Derby Housing Authority. He was also a former longtime parishioner and lector at the St. Jude Church in Derby and a member of the Derby Senior Center, American Legion in Shelton, and the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.

Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by a son David A. Testone (Ann) of Brewster, NY, a brother Mario Testone (Lita) of Derby, a sister Ann DiGianvittorio of Shelton, two cherished granddaughters, Davia Katsetos (Peter) of Brewster, NY and Allison Testone of Yonkers, NY, three great-grandchildren, Kate Marie Katsetos, Ava Marie Katsetos, and Lilly Marie Katsetos, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral on Friday August 7, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. 

Burial with Army military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. 

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday August 6, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME.
