Dalmo J. Orazietti

Dalmo J. Orazietti, age 88, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday May 21, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. 

Dalmo was born in Shelton on March 23, 1927, son of the late Generoso, and Beatrice (Fracassini) Orazietti, and was lifelong Shelton resident.

He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed by the B. F. Goodrich for over 30 years and Shelton High School maintenance department for 17 years before his retirement. Dalmo enjoyed attending all the sports events at Shelton High School, and was an avid NY Yankee fan. He was a 60 year member of the Sutter Terlizzi American Legion Post # 16 in Shelton, was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph Church, and a member of the Shelton Senior Citizen Center. 

He was the beloved brother of Jeanette Burns and Oliva Orazietti, devoted uncle of Marian and Brad Philips, James and Sharon, Danny and Linda, Kevin and David Orazietti, Lauren and Mauro Rugerio, Anita and Steve Geraci, and Linda and Bob Watt, and brother-in-law of Mary Orazietti. He was predeceased his siblings, Enio (Jake) Orazietti, Valia Hefferon and Louise Bajor and a niece, Diane Wilson.

Friends may greet his family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Wednesday his funeral will leave the funeral home at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church Shelton. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Derby.
