Daniel J. Speranzini

Daniel J. Speranzini, 67, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, March 5, 2017, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Donna Gronczak Speranzini. 

Dan was born in Derby on April 18, 1949, son of the late Denato and Angelina Pintavalli Speranzini. A resident of Seymour for 38 years, he was employed as a salesman for Philip Morris USA for 28 years, until his retirement in 2004. Dan was an active communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia serving as head usher at the 11:00 am Mass. He was also a member of the Holy Rosary Church Catholic Men’s Club, bocce League and Knights of Columbus Council 10537. Dan enjoyed socializing with friends and family and vacationing in Lake George, NY.

In addition to his wife Donna, he is survived by a loving son, Daniel M. Speranzini (Lisa Santore) of Ansonia, a loving daughter, Jennifer L. Speranzini of Seymour, caring brother, Ronald J. Speranzini (Tina) of Dumont, NJ, cherished granddaughter, Gia Speranzini, nephew, Brian Speranzini (Debra) of Westfield, NJ and many friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2017, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, his funeral will commence at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
