Daniel R. Kardos Sr., age 75, husband of the late Patricia Bonewicz Kardos and resident of Derby, entered into eternal rest at home on Feb. 18.
He was born May 23, 1938 in Bridgeport CT, son of the late Daniel & Jennie Kondor Kardos.
Daniel was a retired union truck driver for Preston Trucking, and was a parishioner of St. Jude’s Church in Derby.
He is survived by son Daniel R. Kardos Jr & his wife Diane of Naugatuck, two daughters, Doreen Gilbert & her husband Marvin of Naugatuck & Sandra Kyle and her husband James of Ansonia, four brothers, Jack Kardos of Stratford, Ronald Kardos of North Carolina, Robert Kardos of San Diego, CA & Terrance Kardos of Ansonia and five grandchildren & two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Janet Kardos.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude’s Church in Derby. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
