Danny W. Yeager Jr., age 59, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. DeCava Yeager.
Danny was born in Derby on January 29, 1961 and was the loving son of Danny W. Yeager Sr. and Constance Wysocki Yeager of Ansonia. He was a resident of Ansonia until moving to Milford 25 years ago. He was happily employed by Inland Fuel in Terryville as the Terminal Manager and was dedicated, hard-working and proud to be part of this company for many years.
Danny was happiest when being on or near the ocean and enjoyed collecting sea glass and taking walks along the beach with his loving wife of 22 years. He enjoyed his salt water aquarium hobby with maintaining the intricate corals and tropical fish and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. His factual knowledge in many diverse subjects was impressive and his love of rock music was a source of many years of enjoyment that he shared with his closest of friends.
What is most memorable to those who knew Danny was his fun-loving, all knowing, sarcastic and quick sense of humor that kept his family and friends always laughing. He never made excuses and stayed true to himself. It was his yearly vacation to Cape Cod and other shoreline spots where he found peace and long lasting memories.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Karen Kraszewski (Daniel) of Branford and Kelly Franco (Marc) of Derby and sister-in-law, Christine Walker (Joe) of FL. He will be forever in their hearts. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Sara, Sam, Hannah and Luke Kraszewski, Bruce Donofrio of FL and Marc, Jake and Sean Franco.
Danny found joy and happiness from the day they were born and while watching them grow. He would often say that his face hurt from smiling so much with each one of them. Danny was fortunate to have lasting memories with many lifelong friends and their families with whom he spoke highly of.
Due to current restrictions and for the health and safety of guests, Danny’s family has postponed his celebration of life to a more appropriate time which will be announced.
The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements. Please sign Danny’s guest book or share a memory at http://www.spinelliricciutifh.com.
