David A. Rizzio, age 63, of Naugatuck and formerly of Derby passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the West Haven Campus of the VA Hospital.
Born in Derby on September 12, 1949 he was the son of the late Eugene and Sarah (Pecor) Rizzio.
He leaves behind his loving sister, Mrs. Marie Hathaway of Plymouth, MA, his brother, Nick (Daisy) Rizzio of Terryville, CT, a niece, a nephew and several great nieces and great nephews.
David was a proud veteran of the US Army serving 22 months in Vietnam. He was an employee of the US Postal Service.
Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. His funeral will leave the funeral home at 10:30am for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Church, Derby at 11 am. Interment with full military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
