David A. Weinstein

Mr. David A. Weinstein, of Shelton, Connecticut, born on November 19, 1945 in Bronx, New York, to the late Bess Weinstein Lander and the late Joseph (Jack) Weinstein, passed away at age 72 on December 26, 2017 in Easton, Maryland. 

David graduated from Bullard Havens for high school in 1964 and Penn State in 1972. From 1964 to 1967, David served in the Army in the Vietnam War and afterwards he ran Winsten Tree Service, before retiring in Easton, MD

David was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Weinstein. He is survived by his sons, Daniel Nichols and Joel Weinstein; daughters, Adina Hodges, Dara Rajowski Weinstein, Jodi Chevarella, and Jacqueline Weinstein; and sisters, Marianne Silverman, Joyce Grumer, Phyllis Garrison, and Harriet Sisbarro. 

He was a State Adjutant for the Military Order of the Purple Heart and a member and active volunteer at Rolling Thunder. Donations in David’s name to Rolling Thunder are welcome and appreciated. Dave will always be remembered for his amazing personality and giving nature, helping anyone whenever he saw a need! 

Friends and family members may attend the celebration of life service on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Shelton Community Center, 41 Church St., Huntington, Connecticut, 06484. Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. has handled his arrangements in Easton, MD.
