David Erhardt, age 81 of Oxford, beloved husband of Georgeann (Falsetti) Erhardt, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, June 29, 2025 in his home surrounded by family. Born in Bridgeport on March 14, 1944, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alice (Klobukowski) Erhardt.
A retired defense research and developer for AVCO in Stratford, David was a proud US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid NY Yankee fan, had a passion for US history, and enjoyed reading and researching various topics. Above all else though, David was 100% committed to his family and his world revolved around his wife, daughter and grandsons.
In addition to his wife Georgann of 52 years, survivors include his loving daughter, Jeannine Blue and her husband Timothy of Oxford; 2 cherished grandsons, Anthony and Alexander Almeida, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sisters, Louise Caterson, Nancy Macisco, and Lillian Butler.
A memorial celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10 am DIRECTLY in Trinity Episcopal Church, 1734 Huntington Tnpk., Trumbull, CT 06611. Interment with military honors will follow in the memorial garden located behind the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s name can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Ave suite 1802, New York, NY 10001, or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
