David W. Georgia, age 60, entered into peaceful rest on August 5, 2022 with his loving family by his side.
David was born in Derby on June 9, 1962, son of the late Louis and Julie Georgia. David was an avid billiards player and a local champ, representing Derby Billiards. He was a fan of professional wrestling entertainment, fresh water fishing, motorcycles and a master of his radio-controlled airplanes and helicopters. David loved to debate politics and was always up to speed on current events. He was known for his sly sense of humor, but also for his thoughtful and caring nature.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his beloved brothers Robert Georgia and Louis Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, Brian Georgia and Paul Georgia of Seymour, Mark Georgia (Karen) of Beacon Falls; sisters, Julie Ficano of Shelton and Johanna Georgia of Ansonia. In addition, David will be remembered by his beloved nieces and nephews, Jenna Ficano-Brush, Ashley Scagliarini, Kyle Georgia, Brian Georgia, Jr. and many cherished friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial and a celebration of David’s life is being planned and will be announced in the near future. There are no calling hours. Interment will be held in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
