Delia M. Tretiak, 86, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2015, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving son Steve and daughter in law Patricia by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen A. Tretiak.
Mrs. Tretiak was born in Shelton on May 15, 1928, daughter of the late John and Elisia Vagnini Crasilli. A lifelong Valley resident, she was employed at the former Samarius Electronics in Derby, Harvey Textile in Shelton and Narrow Fabrics in Ansonia, until her retirement.
She is survived by a son, Stephen J. Tretiak (Patricia) of Seymour and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James A. Tretiak, brothers, Bruno, William, Nello and Thomas Crasilli and sisters, Mary, Carrie and Lena Crasilli. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the nurses at Lord Chamberlain Health Care in Stratford and the nurses and staff at Griffin Hospital, especially Kaitlyn Finneran, Danyame Konado and Kristin Westa for their exceptional care.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday March 18, 2015, from 4 – 6 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, her funeral will be held at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Interment will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
