Delphine Rose “Adele” Principi, age 96, wife of the late James Principi and Oxford resident, entered into eternal rest June 10. She was born March 29, 1918 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Remo & Antoniella Rognrale Dantuono.
Adele was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. She was an avid Red Sox fan, fabulous chef and great flower arranger, and loved to read and dance with friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Jimmie Principi & his wife Judy of Oxford, her sister Josephine Santasiere of Clinton, CT., two grandsons James Principi of Burlington, CT & Thomas Caruso of Seymour, granddaughters Judith Principi of Wesley Chapel, Fl., Lisa Fair of Walpole, MA., great grandchildren James, Christopher, Nicholas, Zachary, Mia & Michael. In addition to her husband Jimmie, she was predeceased by brothers Peter, Ernest & Santino Dantuono, and sisters Sally Wilkitus, Rose Gabriel & Angie Tabaka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, before the funeral leaves for church. (www.jenkinskingfh.com)
