Dennis E. Killianey Sr.

Dennis E. Killianey Sr., age 73, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2021, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Szostek Killianey. 

Dennis was born in Bridgeport on December 6, 1947, son of the late George and Eleanor Pistey Killianey Sr. He was a resident of Seymour for the past 52 years where he made his home with his family. Dennis was employed as a carpenter for N.E. Regional Council of Carpenters, Local Union 210, until his retirement. 

In his earlier years, Dennis was a drummer in a band. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and a season ticket holder for his favorite New England Patriots. 

In addition to his wife Pamela, he leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Dennis E. Killianey Jr. (Barbara) of Garner, North Carolina, daughters, Kerry Christensen (John) and Nicole Valenti (James Sr.) all of Bethany, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Irene Hudak of Shelton, Bernice Bergeron (Fred) of Beacon Falls, Sandra O’Bidinski of Seymour, Terri Reilly (Donald) of Prospect, Edward Szostek of Seymour, David Szostek (Jodi) of Ansonia and Cheryl Szostek of MA, grandchildren, Andrew, Allison and Erica Christensen, Addison Valenti and James LJ” Valenti Jr. along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by a brother George Killianey Jr., and a brother-in-law, John Szostek. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dennis’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday August 6, 2021 at 10:00 am (meeting directly) at St. Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia. Inurnment will immediately follow in St. Michaels Cemetery in Derby. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME in Ansonia has been privileged with his arrangements.
