Dennis McAuliffe, age 69, of Shelton entered into rest on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Griffin Hospital.
He was the devoted husband of 47 years to Ellen (Ott) McAuliffe.
Dennis was born in Bridgeport, on February 24, 1948, son of the late George and Flora (Larue) McAuliffe and was a Shelton resident for 44 years. He was a self employed carpenter. Dennis was a scoutmaster of Boy Scouts of America Pack 2. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is the beloved father of Christopher McAuliffe, Dawn Pollak and her husband Jason, and Jason McAuliffe and his wife Kathy, and brother of Marie Cataldo and her husband Richard. Dennis is the loving grandfather of Samantha, Tyler, Kristina and Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
On Friday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton for his Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
His family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA by going to www.aspca.org.
