Diane B. Narcisse Delvaille

Diane B. Narcisse Delvaille, 70, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday evening, April 5, 2013, at Masonicare in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late George A. Delvaille.

Mrs. Delvaille was born in New Orleans, LA, daughter of the late Morris and Emily Hersey Narcisse. A resident of Ansonia since 1968, she was employed as a multi-skilled technician at Griffin Hospital in Derby for almost 40 years and also as a part-time home health aide until her retirement. She truly enjoyed her work and had a gift for caring for others, offering unconditional kindness and compassion.

Diane’s heart shed an abundance of love and generosity to all she knew. She was proud to have received the Griffin Hospital Plain Tree award. Diane enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, often expressing that every day is as special as a holiday. She also enjoyed reading, keeping up with current affairs and had a strong faith in God. 

She is survived by 3 loving daughters, Charlotte Delvaille-Smith (Dayshon), Nichell Delvaille, and Erica Zauner (Nicholas), 2 brothers, Byron and Val Narcisse, 3 sisters, Lola Plessy, Kim Boissiere, and Jean Proctor, 2 grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Maurice Narcisse Jr. and sisters, Marlene and Lorraine Narcisse.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2013, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 7:00 pm, a funeral service and celebration of Diane’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Burial will be private.
