Diane Kelleher, age 72, of Derby entered into rest on Monday, October 25, 2021 at her home.
She was the devoted wife of the late Denis Neil Kelleher. Diane was born in Derby on October 15, 1949, daughter of the late Natale J. Marchetti, Sr. and Derva (Tarini) Marchetti and was a lifelong Derby resident. She loved plays and musicals. Diane enjoyed walking through flea markets and discovering an elusive vintage salt and pepper set. She loved to bake and was best known for her “icebox pudding cake”. Diane was the “Queen of the Birthday Cakes” always baking one for family birthdays. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.
She was the beloved mother of Peter John Kelleher and Susan Lynn Kelleher and sister of Albert Marchetti, Dennis Marchetti and his wife Pamela, Richard Marchetti and his wife Victoria and the late Natale J. Marchetti, Jr. Diane was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Family and friends are required to wear masks. On Monday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
