Diane Sapelli McCarthy, born in Brooklyn, NY on April 12, 1941 died peacefully with Hospice Care at the Griffin Hospital Derby.
Diane was the only daughter of the late Marie”Tootsie” Walters Esposito Beran, and Salvatore Esposito. She attended Stamford High School and worked several years at SNET, and the Post Office. Diane held various customer service jobs and retired from Black and Decker. Since retiring Diane occupied her many hours enjoying books, playing games on her Kindle and watching vintage movies. She especially relished her time in Narrowsburg, NY and Old Saybrook, CT playing board games and cards.
Diane is survived by her son Joseph F. Sapelli, of Concord,NC, several cousins and many good friends.
Friends may greet her family on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. At 10:00 AM a funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery Darien.
