Alice Diane Betts, age 91, of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the devoted wife of 57 years of the late William Betts.
Diane was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on May 22, 1933, daughter of the late Edwin and Ann (Bush) Fletcher, and lived in Shelton for 60 years. She worked as an office manager for many years.
Diane was always singing. She was a choir member of Sister Cities and traveled all over with them and she enjoyed visiting her family back in Canada. Diane enjoyed swimming at the Shelton Community Center, and loved spending time with her family at home.
She is the beloved mother of Paul William Betts (Sylvie Turgeon), Allan John Betts (Lisa LaBonte), and Evan Charles Betts (JoAnn Betts). She also leaves her sister, Shirley Daniels, six cherished grandchildren, Adam, Emily, Michael, David, Rachelle, and Carrie; three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Bruce and Roy Fletcher.
