Dolores (Gaetano) Bailey, age 82, entered into eternal rest on July 11, 2021, at Griffin Hospital in Derby with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter E. Bailey.
Dolores was born in Derby on July 23, 1938, daughter of the late John and Olga Morbidelli Gaetano. She was a resident of Derby for most of her life where she attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and graduated from Derby High School in 1956. Dolores was a lovable homemaker, having raised three beautiful daughters. She enjoyed visiting the casino, UCONN Women’s Basketball, watching old movies and baking cookies. Dolores was also a fan of Notre Dame High School girl’s basketball team in Fairfield where she cheered on her granddaughter with pride.
Dolores leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Donna Henry (Patrick) of Ansonia, Gina Fourtin (William) of Ansonia and Debra Barros (Rudy) of Derby, sisters, Marguerite Candelli of Seymour, Elizabeth Sardo of Ansonia and Lena Cammarata of Derby, grandchildren, Patrick Henry (Nicole) of Naugatuck, Brittany Henry (Eric Laue) of Stratford, Cruz Barros and Brandon Barros both of Derby and Paige Fourtin of Ansonia, great granddaughters, Olivia Laue and Aulbree Patzer, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Palmieri.
Visitation for friends and family will take place on Sunday July 18, 2021, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME in Ansonia. On Monday, all are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 (meeting directly) at St. Mary’s Church, 212 Elizabeth Street in Derby.
