Dominick F. “Punky” Jeanetti, age 77, entered eternal rest on November 6, 2023, at CT Hospice in Branford, with his loving family by his side.
Dominick was born in Derby on January 31, 1946, son of the late Dominick P. and Mary Kuca Jeanetti. He was a graduate of Derby High School, class of 1963, then went on to attain his Bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State College. For twenty-eight years, Dominick was employed as an industrial technology teacher for the Derby Board of Education until his retirement in 1998. He was an avid fisherman and boater who enjoyed being by the ocean and was adoringly referred to as “Captain Nick.” His hobbies included, gardening, collecting antiques and trying his luck at the casinos. During his summers off from teaching, Dominick also worked as a carpenter.
Dominick leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Steven J. Jeanetti of New Britain, grandson, Nicholas S. Jeanetti, best friend, Timothy Beam of Loxahatchee FL and his sons, Brandon Beam of Lake Wakes, FL and Bradley Beam of Port Lucie, FL, who was also his godson, niece, Nicole Matzerath of Raleigh, NC and companion, Denise Wood of Branford. He was predeceased by his sister, Sally Ann Jeanetti.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:30 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 6:30 pm, a funeral service in celebration of Dominick’s life will take place with Rev. Jeffrey Gubbiotti, officiating. Burial will be private.
