Dominick V. Furfaro, 83, of Ansonia, entered into peaceful rest on July 4, 2011, at the Hilltop Health Center in Ansonia.
Mr. Furfaro was born in Derby on Dec. 24, 1927, son of the late Frank and Jennie Calipa Furfaro. A resident of Ansonia for most of his life, he was employed as a foreman for Ideal Manufacturing in Beacon Falls for 18 years until his retirement in 1989. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he honorably served during WW 2.
He is survived by a son, Thomas V. Furfaro of Ansonia, a brother, Antonio Furfaro (Phyllis) of Seymour, 2 sisters, Clara Amodio and Francis Tuckett of Seymour, 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Vincent, Milton, Joseph, and Frank Furfaro and sisters, Theresa Moscowitz, Jennie Furfaro, Angelina Conti, and Ann Torwich.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday July 7, 2011, at 10:00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Interment with U.S. Navy honors will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour. Visiting hours will be held on THURSDAY MORNING from 9:00 am until the service begins.
