Donald F. Kierol

Donald F. Kierol, an 84 year old Seymour resident, passed away Nov. 26. He was born Dec. 25, 1938 in Derby, son of the late Frank and Adele Frier Kierol. He worked as a Foreman for Pop Fasteners, then later for Black & Decker Co. 

He also served as a supernumerary policeman in Seymour. He graduated salutatorian from Pine High School in Ansonia and went on to serve in U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. He was predeceased by his wife Linda Ball Kierol. 

He leaves his daughters Patricia Kierol of Naugatuck & Laura Andrews of Seymour, his loving companion of 24 years Frances Zielinski of Derby, grandchildren Jason Andrews of Seymour, Clarisse Stradtman of Torrington, Gabriel Stradtman of Bantam, and LP Jessica Krzeminski of Nashville, TN., his extended family Jeffrey Krzeminski, Kathryn Krzeminski, Colleen Stradtman & Christopher Krzeminski. 

He was predeceased by Gregory Zielinski. Friends may call on Friday Dec. 1st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. with friends asked to go directly to Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 W. Church St. Seymour. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The First Citizen’s Engine Co. #2 or to The Blessing Pantry of The Trinity Episcopal Church.
