Donald J. Zuleger, age 89, of Derby, entered into rest on Tuesday April 7, 2015. He was the husband of the late Joyce (Reed) Zuleger.
He was born in Hartford on May 25, 1925, son of the late Irving and Mary Ryall Zuleger and was a resident of Shelton and Derby for most of his life.
He was an Electrician at SCSU for many years until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army in the Italian Campaign, during WW II. He received the Purple Heart with one Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion Sutter Terlizzi Post #16, DAV and a former member of the CT Hurricanes Drum Corp.
He is survived by three nieces Tracy Reed Molitor, Alison Reed Lepage and Katherine Mary Reed Slink, three nephews Scott, Kevin and Lincoln Reed.
His funeral procession will leave the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton on Monday at 8:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Friends may call from 8:00 am to 8:30 am at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
