Dorothea M. Plasko, 85, of Wolcott, peacefully entered into eternal rest on early Friday morning, October 25, 2013, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John Plasko Sr.
Mrs. Plasko was born in Ansonia on January 21, 1928, daughter of the late James and Victoria Gosso Visselli. She was a resident of Seymour for most of her life before moving to her daughter’s home in Wolcott eleven years ago. Dorothea was employed at Uniroyal in Naugatuck for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by a loving son, John Plasko Jr. of Seymour, a loving and devoted daughter, Irene Manka and her husband Ronald of Wolcott, grandchildren, Justin Plasko, Sean Plasko, John Plasko, Christopher Lepri (Barbara), Christine Romero and Heidi Mont, a great-granddaughter, Alexis Plasko and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.
Per Dorothea’s request, her funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
