Dorothea Wiltshire Monopoli, age 87, wife of the late Salvatore Monopoli and resident of Naugatuck, entered into eternal rest March 21 at Wolcott View Manor.
She was born Sept. 29, 1928 in Scranton, Pa., daughter of the late Edward & Helen Grzyanski Wiltshire. She worked as a cook for Wesley Heights Memorial Hospital in Shelton and was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Naugatuck.
She leaves 5 children, Donna Schuld of Waterbury, Donald Monopoli of Melbourne, Fl., Denise Kiley of Ansonia, Sandra Schuchmann of Oxford & Jerry Monopoli of Palm City, Fl., 2 sisters Jean Cwynar of Moscow, PA. & Marlene Wiltshire of Tenn., her brother Robert Wiltshire of Dickson City, PA., 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Funeral services will be held on Friday March 25 at 9:30 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at St. Michael’s Church in Naugatuck. Burial will be private.
