Dorothy A. Lanza, age 71 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest October 3, 2013 in Branford; she was the beloved wife of 51 years to Gerald J. Lanza.
Mrs. Lanza was born May 27, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Aeneas and Dorothy (Anderson) Neligan. Dorothy was a retired Registered Nurse from Mediplex , Milford. She studied Nursing and graduated from St. Vincent’s College, Bridgeport in 1990. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Dorothy was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Besides her husband, Dorothy leaves her loving family including her son, Denis Lanza of Seymour, daughters, Janine Lanza and her spouse, Adrian Cho of Grosse Pointe, MI, and Jennifer Williams of Ft. Myers. FL, a brother, Denis Neligan of Lynbrook, NY, a sister, Mary Neligan of Astoria, NY, her grandchildren, Jessica, Audrey, and Emmett, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours are Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour Funeral services are Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
