Dorothy Brown

Dorothy V. (Cole) Brown, 80 of Seymour, entered into peaceful rest at her home; she was the beloved wife of Abraham M. Bucky” Brown, and widow of Samuel L. Cole, Sr.

Mrs. Brown was born July 16, 1932 in Derby, daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Cripps) Pudim. She was retired from Lone Oak Campground, East Canaan where she worked with her husband for many years. Dorothy enjoyed camping, watching game shows, knitting, crocheting, gardening and her dogs. 

Besides her husband, Dorothy leaves her loving family including her children, Samuel L. Cole, Jr. (Sheryl), Deborah Wasko (Kenneth), and Les Cole (Nancy) all of Seymour, step-children, Peter Brown (Sandra) of E. Canaan, Barry Brown (Jacolyn) of E. Canaan, and Lori Brown of Oregon City, OR, grandchildren, Sam, Zach, Ken, Katie, Justin, Blakeley, Cooper, Somer, Alex, and Ryan, and her great granddaughter Tanith, also several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Carl Pudim and sister, Margaret Marge” Hull predeceased her.

Calling Hours are Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Funeral Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
