Dorothy Greco, age 72, of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, in her home. Dorothy was born in Detroit, MI on December 16, 1941, daughter of the late William R. Towse Sr. and Alice (Williams)Towse. She was raised in Stratford and for the past 40 years was a resident of Shelton .
A graduate of UConn, she was a physical therapist for over 40 years and worked for Rehabilitation Associates in Stratford before she retired 10 years ago. Dorothy was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she cherished being with her grandchildren.
She is the beloved mother of Michael David Greco and Susan Towse Greco. She also leaves four cherished grandchildren, Michael David II, Marissa Nichole, Ryan James, and Evan Christopher, a brother, William Towse, two sisters, Bette Forcash and Anne T. Peterson, and her mother-in-law, Antoinette Greco and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Andrew Towse.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. On Wednesday her procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church in Shelton. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
