Dorothy M. Gregorio, 82, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2013, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Gregorio Sr.
Mrs. Gregorio was born in New York, NY on Aug. 12, 1930, daughter of the late Charles and Theresa Jacques Hart.
She was a resident of Ansonia for most of her life before moving to Seymour one year ago. Dorothy was employed at the former Burndy Corporation in Derby and later at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford.
She enjoyed visiting Florida, Las Vegas, the casinos, going to the movies and playing cards and Bingo.
She is survived by three sons, James Gregorio Jr. (Paula) of Shelton, Robert Gregorio (Cindy) of Naugatuck and John Gregorio (Hanna) of Beacon Falls, 7 cherished grandchildren, James Gregorio III, Jeffrey, Robert, Brian, Jessica, Samantha, and Jennifer Gregorio, four great- grandchildren, Evan, Mackenzie, Olivia, and Isabelle Gregorio and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday March 11, 2013, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
On Tuesday, friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. Contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101 or through the funeral home.
