Dorothy Rolleri Fletcher of Shelton, CT, passed away peacefully on 10/19/2022. She was 93. Dorothy was born 12/1/1929 in Bridgeport, CT, to Jenny and Joe Rolleri.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Robert Fletcher and by her sister Pauline Steinhardt.
She is survived by two sisters, Marie Ziegra of South Carolina and Arlene Phillips of Ohio.
Robert and Dorothy had four children: Gary Fletcher and his wife Nancy of Colorado; Paul Fletcher and his wife Christina of Sweden; Lori Fletcher and her husband, Edward Corley of NH; and Lisa Vaccaro and her husband Peter of CT; eight grandchildren, Ian, Jesse, Megan, Kyle, Ryan, Christopher Robin and Rebecca; 5 beautiful great granddaughters, Olivia, Ella, Lyla, Emiline and Lily and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy’s life with her husband Bob, was filled with music. They loved to dance and travel with their friends. She was a talented cook and prepared many delicious holiday meals at gatherings at their home in Shelton, a focal point for her family. Dorothy was cherished by so many and had a generous and fun-loving spirit. Her zest for life never ceased. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, CT 06401. Interment will follow in the Huntington Lawn Cemetery, Lane Street, Shelton, CT 06484. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, prior to the service.
