Dorothy Soudier Emmerson, wife of the late Alfred Emmerson and a resident of Ansonia, passed away Oct. 11. She was 88.
She was born July 25, 1922 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Nicholas & Marie Stockart Soudier.
She worked for Derby Nursing Home as supervisor of housekeeping.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ansonia and also a member of the Ansonia Senior Center.
She is survived by her daughter Joan Loftus and two sons, Robert D. Emmerson and Alfred T. Emmerson, all of Ansonia.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers — Nicholas, Edward and Frederick Soudier — and her sister, Mary.
Funeral services will be private. She will be buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The First Baptist Church, 235 Prindle Ave., Ansonia, CT.
