Duncan Grant, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at his home in Seymour.
Duncan Grant was born on August 21, 1931 in Milford to the late William and Evelyn (Duncan) Grant.
He was a longtime resident of Milford before moving to Seymour in 2000. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brown University and received a Ph.D. in physics from Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Grant was a physicist for the U.S. Navy for many years as well as a U.S. Navy veteran; he served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Duncan Grant is survived by his three children, Leslie Grant of Fort Myers, Florida, Marshal Grant of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and Adriana Grant of Seattle, Washington.
His son, Peter Grant, predeceased him. Mr. Grant is survived by two grandchildren, Reilly Grant and Alexander Grant. He also leaves behind two brothers, Brian Grant of Fairfield and Neil Grant of Milford, and a sister, Joan Cappella of Branford.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be held in private. For directions or to express condolences online please go only to http://www.hullfh.com.
