Edith F. Milardo, 98, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 23, 2016, in Pelham Medical Center in Greenville, SC. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Milardo.
Mrs. Milardo was born in Seymour on Jan. 21, 1918, daughter of the late Orlando and Mary Propezzi D’Urbano. She was a lifelong resident of Ansonia until moving to South Carolina twelve years ago. She had worked as a nurse’s aide at Gardner Heights in Shelton until her retirement. Edith was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed spending time at the beach.
She is survived by loving daughters, Josephine Segatori of Clayton, NC and Rosalie Morgan of Simpsonville, SC, cherished grandchildren, Beverly Segatori-Greco of Chapel Hill, NC, Marcy Segatori of Cary, NC, Jessica Retherford (Dustin) and Edmund Jacek III all of Simpsonville, great-grandchildren, Michael David Greco II, Marissa Nichole Greco, Carlee Retherford and Hudson Retherford as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Richard Segatori, brothers, Mario, Dominic, Ralph and Frank D’Urbano and sisters, Mollie Boyne, Emma Gabriel, Anna D’Urbano, Millie Dziadik and Mary Pisacane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 28, 2016, at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will take place on SATURDAY MORNING from 8:00 am until the procession leaves for church in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
