Edith Patricia (Loucks) Henry, age, 94, entered peaceful rest on July 13, 2023, at Bishop Wicke Health Care Center in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis D. Henry.
Edith was born in Sharon, CT on March 16, 1929, daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Hill Loucks. She was employed as a dietician for Hewitt Memorial Health Care Center in Shelton and later Shelton Lakes, until her retirement. Spending time with her family at gatherings and reunions was most important to Edith. She was an avid poker and Texas hold’em player and, also enjoyed crocheting.
Edith leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Patrick Henry (Donna) of Ansonia, Russell Henry (Janet) of Ansonia, William Henry of Seymour, and Edward Henry (Ursula) of Beacon Falls, a sister, Doris Marchi of Winsted, sixteen grandchildren, Bruce Henry Jr., Christina Henry, Brittany Henry, Patrick Henry Jr., April Fallon, Jennifer Visciglia, Sherylin Trujillo, Patricia Henry, Megan Smith, Jessica Henry, Jonathan Henry, Jackson Henry, Danielle Parks, John Caldwell, Michael Caldwell and Denise Caldwell, twenty great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sons, Francis J. “Frank” Henry, Bruce Henry and Kevin Henry Sr., a daughter, Sharon Henry, a brother, David Loucks, a sister, Phyllis Drake and a grandson, Kevin Henry Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday morning, her funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home then proceed to the First United Methodist Church, 47 Franklin Street, Ansonia, for her funeral service at 10:00 am.
