Eduardo L. Rodriguez, a resident of Beacon Falls for twenty-eight years, age 61, unexpectedly entered eternal rest on April 7, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Carmen L. Ortiz Rodriguez.Born in Cidra, Puerto Rico on October 9, 1963, he was the beloved son of Angel L. Rodriguez and Marta Rios of Puerto Rico. Eduardo attained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and was employed as a food safety officer for the Food and Drug Administration in Bridgeport for twenty-seven years until his retirement in 2019.
A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Commission Officer. Eduardo was extremely loyal to his country and supported all military with the upmost respect.
He was a member of the Wallingford Blue Trail Range where he enjoyed practicing his outdoor recreational shooting. Eduardo loved all genres of music but he was a true Beatles fan at heart.
He will be lovingly missed.
In addition to his wife Carmen and parents, Angel and Marta, Eduardo leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Eduardo A. Rodriguez of Beacon Falls, a daughter, Carolina S. Posta (Benedetto Jr.) of Ansonia, brothers, Edgardo L. Rodriguez (Glorian) of Puerto Rico, Jose L. Rodriguez (Lisa) of Iowa and Ricardo L. Rodriguez (Betty) of Puerto Rico, sisters, Martita Ayala (Jose) and Marangely Rodriguez both of Puerto Rico and grandson, Benedetto J. Posta III along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Angel L. Rodriguez.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
