Edward A. Davis, age 76, entered into eternal rest in the early morning hours of May 1, 2020, at Yale-New Haven Hospital from complications of Covid-19. He was the beloved husband of the late Christina Eheman Davis.
Mr. Davis was born in Bridgeport on May 13, 1943, son of the late Edward and Evelyn Delano Davis. A resident of Ansonia his entire adult life, he worked as a truck driver for New England Motor Freight in Meriden for many years until his retirement in 2009.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a sister, Joan Christopher of Port St. Lucie, FL and several nieces and nephews, especially Michael and Cheryl Dainiak of Ansonia. He was predeceased by sons, Edward Davis and Robert Davis. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital as well as Vitas Hospice for their wonderful care given to Edward during this difficult time.
Due to current health guidelines, a private service for immediate family will be held with interment in the family plot in Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
